Memory Tools

There are many memory tools around that will improve your mind, your memory and general lists of items, like a shopping list.

A powerful tool, called Mind Mapping, originally created by Mr Tony Buzan many decades ago, has proven a great way to encompass both sides of the brain to remember virtually anything.  See our mind mapping page to get a glimpse of this fantastic brain friendly technique in action and see how it can work for you.

Other techniques for getting the old noodle to remember the things you want it to, include using Mnemonics or Memory Aids to anchor information; facts or ideas into your mind for later recall.  For instance to remember a loaf of bread on a shopping list, imagine a gigantic loaf of bread blocking your doorway to the shops. Your mind will enjoy the image and remember it automatically, reminding you when you walk through the door, that the loaf was one BIG item you are going to the shops for.

There are many techniques like the PEG system, or the Walk Through system to aid in remembering the things that you want to remember.

Take a wander over to our Memory Improvement pages for more information on each technique.
